Movie Review: A Muppets Christmas: Letters to Santa

A Muppets Christmas: Letters to Santa
Muppets Studio, Walt Disney Studios, USA, 2008.
A Muppets Christmas: Letters to Santa title
Christmas is coming and the Muppets are busy. They want to travel to holiday. Miss Piggy (Eric Jacobson) wants to travel with Kermit (Steve Whitmire) to Caribbean. The Muppets are trying to mail last minute Christmas cards. Gonzo (Dave Goelz) causes accident in post office and acquires unmailed letters to Santa.

Beaker, you dawg
One of the letters is from little girl Claire (Madison Pettis) who lives next door to the Muppets with her mother (Jane Krakowski). Fozzie Bear (Eric Jacobson) and Gonzo try to return to the post office but it is already closed. After trying various unsuccessful solutions to deliver the letters, Kermit, Fozzie, Rizzo the Rat, Pepe the Prawn and Gonzo must travel to North Pole to meet Santa. Piggy is not happy.
Uma Thurman
This is a fun Holiday special (53 min) with feel-good Muppet humour and cheesy songs. Several familiar Muppet characters appear although many only briefly for duration of one joke or so. The story is simple and fairly generic but serves as vehicle for gags with some sentimental Christmas spirit. Cameos include Uma Thurman, Whoopi Goldberg, Mayor Michael Bloomberg and Jesse L. Martin and also Sopranos stars Steve Schirripa and Tony Sirico.
Christmas joke from Fozzie:
Who delivers Christmas presents to baby sharks? Santa Jaws!

  1. Ei paras Muppet-tuotos, mutta hyvä.
Jos et ole katsonut Muppettien joulua, niin varmasti pitäisit siitä.

  2. Muppettien joulukin löytyy joulun katselulistalta, muistan pitäneeni siitä joskus useita vuosia sitten.
